Legendary Comedian Richard Lewis Died Today At The Age Of 76

Richard Lewis was a legend on the comedy scene. He is most known for his stand up, his role in Robin Hood: Men in Tights and from what I know him most, Curb Your Enthusiasm.

The chemistry that Richard and Larry had on screen was one of the funniest duos out there. Whenever they were in a scene together you were bound to laugh. This season they already had the funniest interactions of the entire season. Weirdly just 2 episodes ago they were arguing about having each other in their wills and who was going to die first.

Now I wonder did he actually put Larry in his will because that would be even funnier if he did. And if he did I hope it is something that Larry doesn't want at all and annoys him.

I know Richard wasn't in last season because he was ill and was diagnosed with Parkinson's, but this is so sad. I was just listening to the Curb Your Enthusiasm podcast and the praise for Richard Lewis was great. The way they would come up with his storylines and that he always had a new girlfriend that Larry would have a problem with it. Also the episodes where they are trying to see who would give Lewis a new kidney and his nurse steals his Mickey Mantle baseball and hides it in her vagina might make you laugh even harder. The very first episode the Pants tent involved Richard and if you haven't seen it make sure you watch because it is one of the funniest episodes on TV.

In Curb they don't have actual scripts just outlines so you can just tell how talented Richard Lewis was and made Larry laugh out loud several times during the seasons.

I legitimately am so sad he has passed. It at least makes me happy he was able to film and be in the last season of Curb ever. He is a main reason I love the show and the show doesn't go on without him. RIP Richard Lewis an absolute legend. He will be missed dearly.
