The Perfect Collaboration: Jimmy Butler Dancing Around In A Purple Cowboy Outfit Is The Star Of Fall Out Boy's New Music Video

Has anyone ever re-invented themselves more than Jimmy Butler? The dude was terrorizing teammates in Minnesota, that brief stint in Philly and now became a coffee guy, Hootie and the Blowfish fan, country music fanatic and apparently an emo music video star. That said, I can't think of a perfect combo strictly because of the fact we see the name Heat Wentz. It just plays. I also saw them call themselves Ball Out Boy, which is just a great name. I'd much prefer Ball Out Boy to Fall Out Boy.

I say it all the time when we talk about music videos, I miss when they mattered. Do you know how much this would have blown up on TRL? If you found out at the cafeteria table that a pro athlete was in a music video, you'd run home from school and flip on channel 29 to watch MTV. You'd hope you didn't miss the start of TRL or Dirrty and immediately hop on AIM and make a lyric your away message.

This isn't just a clip either. The music video is four minutes of Jimmy Butler just doing this

Incredible. The best music videos are the dumbest ones and this is up there. It makes almost zero sense and that's why I have no choice but to respect it. You know Jimmy is going to wear this outfit to a game, probably a playoff game, too. That may already be in his closet.
