The Spanish Call Of Max Strus' Three Quarter Court Game Winner Is Absolutely Electric

If you thought Monday night's chaos between the Knicks and Pistons was awesome, well buddy that doesn't even hold a candle to what we got last night in Cleveland between the Cavs and Mavs. Remember T-Mac scoring 13 points in like 35 seconds against the Spurs? While it wasn't quite that, it was pretty damn close, this time coming via Max Strus.

You know what? Just watch it for yourself

What a run, what a shot, what a win. It's hard to find a more electric way to win a basketball game than an absolutely pure three quarter court shot. Talk about nothing but net, my word. To look Luka right in the eye and take his team down despite a 45/9/14 performance all because Strus got loose is not something I had on my bingo card, but it's yet another reason why watching the NBA every night rarely disappoints. Not only was the shot big, it was also pretty damn important. This win kept the Cavs 40/20 dreams alive as well as helped them keep pace with the Bucks who also won, keeping CLE in the 2nd spot in the East (split the H2H with MIL) for now.

Now if you thought that call/moment was electric, just wait till you hear the Spanish call

Do I have any idea what that person was saying? Not really. It's been a while since my Spanish 4 class back in high school. But at the same time, it doesn't matter in the slightest. That's a great call. The energy, the passion, it's all exactly what you want in that moment. Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I always find the Spanish calls to be way better than what we get in English (outside of Mike Breen's BANG), regardless of the sport. There's just something way more electric about their calls. Comparing the two for that play, it's as clear as day. I mean that as no disrespect to the Cavs crew, but it's not even close.

What makes that moment so awesome isn't just the final shot, but all the shots that came before it, each one getting bigger and bigger as the game went on. It was like the Basketball Gods were building us all up for something incredible. It's not like Max Strus isn't a good shooter, but that? That was a little nuts. Good for him, good for the Cavs, and good for their fans.

It also inspired the NBA to put out this video of awesome game winners, and let's face it, you don't want to work yet this morning, so just give it a watch instead. Enjoy.
