We Just Witnessed One Of The Best NASCAR Finishes Ever

Daniel Suarez is now a two time Cup Series winner after one of the closest finishes you’ll see.

Ridiculous. A dead heat with two cars wasn't good enough so they decided to go three wide for the photo finish at Atlanta Motor Speedway!

It wasn’t just the finish that was exciting. The race started with “The Big One” on lap 2.

And featured several different unexpected leaders throughout, with a new track record for lead changes of 47+

But Daniel Suarez, who was +3000 to win today (#dkpartner) and a non factor most of the race, gets it done on the final restart. Triumph for Daniel, pain for the Rubbin is Racing crew. We were all SOOOO close. 0.003 seconds close.

While Suarez undoubtably deserves a ton of credit for his performance today, Marcus Smith is right there with him. Smith is CEO of Speedway Motorsports, who own Atlanta Motor Speedway and 10 other tracks that NASCAR does not, was instrumental in 2021 renovations responsible for the exciting race we saw tonight.

Gone are the days of Atlanta being all about tire wear. It’s a mini Daytona with high banking and high excitement, and it seems to be the perfect track for these NASCAR Cup Series cars.

Congrats Daniel and Marcus on a job well done.

NASCAR is so back and we're only 2 races in. Don't miss next weekend in Vegas Sunday March 3rd 3:30 PM ET on Fox.

Tune in to Rubbin' is Racing for more 2nd and 3rd place finishers.
