The Thread Of Athletes Who Went On Linsanity Runs Is A Great Trip Down Memory Lane

Sometimes there's a Twitter thread that fires me up.

It usually centers around nostalgic sports moments/players and today thanks to Dylan Powell, we got a banger.

Before we begin dissecting some of the phenomenal responses, let's take a second to remember Jeremy Lin.

I don't think it's possible to have another moment like this again. He took over the world for a 2 week span and didn't disappoint. He dropped 38 on ESPN against Kobe! In MSG! After Kobe pretty much said he doesn't know who he is! The buzzer-beater against Toronto? Didn't feel like real life.

We'll never forget 2023 Josh Dobbs.

This was SPECIAl from Caleb Martin:

Peyton Hillis won my 2010 fantasy league for me. Then was on the Madden cover. He was my hero for a year there. Thinking back on it, Peyton Hillis being on a Madden cover is insane. Possibly the most out-of-place video game cover athlete ever. I could spot that facemask anywhere.

Jamie Vardy is HAVING A PARTY! His story is one of the greatest in sports history. He was almost out of soccer forever and then a few years later he won the Premier League with LEICESTER CITY. Straight out of a movie.

Jonas Gray ran for 4 TDs, showed up to practice late, and was never heard from again.
