Petty Baseball Is The Best: The Arizona Diamondbacks Are Giving Away Replica NL Championship Rings When They Host The Phillies

I love a good petty, troll move in sports, especially baseball. With that being said, I don't know why replica rings are a thing. No fan has ever wanted one of these. No fan has willingly accepted and wore a replica ring from their team. And I'll just say it, if you wear these you are a massive loser. 

Now that we got that out of the way, the Diamondbacks giving out these fake rings while the Phillies are in town is a hilarious move. It makes it even better when you realize the Phillies did this last year to the Padres so the Phillies fans can't really get mad at this or let it piss them off.

This is a troll move though, but I don't there is a winner here in this situation. The Phillies aren't even really losers here, they aren't the ones currently giving out fake rings. It's clear the Diamondbacks are the losers here simply because they're the ones giving out these dumb rings! It's not even like it's Opening Day weekend or anything, the team isn't getting them that day or anything, just the fans. I assume the team will get the NL Champions rings on or around Opening Day? Why would any baseball player on the other side of this give a shit if the fans get this giveaway?

Again, it's a giveaway to try and troll the Phillies but I think this is worse for Arizona here. It's such a funny giveaway, they actually thought it would get under Philadelphia's skin. I'd kind of understand it more if they had won the World Series. That is something you can flaunt. Winning the NLCS and parading around that you lost in the World Series ain't it. Especially since they have won a WS before! They have the real ring, they don't have to do this. In an attempt to troll the Phillies, I fear it is the Diamondbacks who end up the losers with fake rings here. The rare troll backfire!
