The NBA Should Be Ashamed Of How Bad The Dunk Contest Is Now

I am a big Mac Mcclung fan this has nothing to do with him because he is an unbelievable dunker and is going to have a great career because of it. He isn't in the NBA and hasn't been the past two years and have won the Dunk Contents. I get some people don't want to do it, but we need absolute superstars in there. We used to have Vince Carter, Dwight Howard, Blake Griffin and so many more superstars doing fucking crazy shit. You need these big names so people have more interest or spice it up like Steph Curry facing off against Sabrina Ionescu. At least that was a little exciting. Fucking put Mantis at the free throw line against Curry next year that would be more exciting then the Dunk Contents. 

It just doesn't have any juice anymore like back in the day when it was appointment television. As I was watching it though, I had a quick thought. Has social media and just how much basketball we see on a daily basis ruined the coolness of dunking the basketball? We see everyone do it with such ease and its like almost whatever he dunked the ball. Also I think they ran out of creative dunks to do or they just really aren't thinking. Look, jumping over Shaq is great and all but bring out a car and really wow us like Blake Griffin. Do some obscure shit because it was boring. The NBA All star weekend has the potential to be the best all star weekend over all in all sports but it has lost its luster completely. One man can save it and he will be 40 next year. But LeBron will just never do that.
