Ultimate Competitor: Volleyball Star Key Alves Figured Out How To Steal The Show During Her First Trip To A Brazilian Carnival

This might fall on me, but I didn't know that it was carnival season in Brazil. We know about the famous Rio Carnival, but this is one that takes place in Salvador. I bring this up because Key Alves - the most followed volleyball player in the world - and her twin sister Keyt made a case for it as the number 1 travel destination in the world this week. We know it's the week after the Super Bowl. It's a great week to take vacation and let loose after grinding through football season.

Case in point:

And Twins! Sorry, just habit at this point. Now, I did some research and it appears this carnival lasts 6 days. I'm too old, bald and out of shape to fit in while traveling to Brazil anyways. But 6 days? That's far too many days. At some point you gotta take a day off. Hell, just sleeping in a hotel room without two kids running into the room the moment their alarm turns green would be worth the trip. Might not even party. Just catch up on some sleep.

Anyways, back to the carnival. It's just a massive party. That's why you put Key Alves as the face of it. Sure, soccer is king there. You could say Neymar or let Richarlison do his pigeon dance, but you gotta draw people in. You know how you do that? Twins. Especially ones who know determination.

Need more evidence that this looks like a bucket list travel destination? Here we go:

I do think they need to revamp the marketing, but then again I'm a dumb American. I hear carnival I think terrible rides, games like hitting a frog with a hammer into a cup and funnel cake. A lot of funnel cake. It's something completely different in Brazil. I know it has different meanings, which really just means we here need to change the name of carnival. Their carnivals are way better, even if they don't have funnel cake.

Volleyball. Playboy. Carnivals. What can't the Alves twins do?
