The More Mic'd Up Footage That Comes Out Of The Super Bowl, The More Hilarious The Loss Gets For The 49ers

"George Kittle had a chance to get it..."

I know we're getting pretty far removed from the Super Bowl at this point, but by golly does this bring such joy to my heart. Every single piece of media that has come out since the Super Bowl has proven that one team showed up to Vegas for a social event, while another team had business to attend to.

Whether it was the Chiefs laughing about how idiotic Kyle Shanahan and the 9ers were for taking the ball in overtime...

Or George Kittle not going after a Christian McCaffrey opening drive fumble because he was too busy being such a whacky and zany dude while chatting up George Karlaftis. It's become clearer and clearer that one of these teams were so ill prepared to play in the biggest game of their lives.

Which makes sense, actually. Because in all reality, the Super Bowl wasn't the biggest game of the year for the 49ers. I'm sure they would have liked to win the game, but the Super Bowl didn't mean shit to them at that point. Because they already played their Super Bowl back on December 3rd. Their win against the Philadelphia Eagles in week 13 was the only game they ever truly cared about winning this year. And to their credit, they got the job done. The rest of the season was gravy at that point.

It's just funny that George Kittle apparently had so much "vengeance" on his mind that he forgot an actual football game was being played out there. A game in which sometimes, your teammates lose control of the ball and are relying on you to be alert enough to bail them out with a fumble recovery to keep possession. Instead, George Kittle thought it was so zany he was going up against another guy named George that he didn't even realize the ball came out before Karlaftis already had it locked up.

Excited to see how the NFC Championship rings come out.
