'Soft Punch' - Drew Eubanks Mocking Isaiah Stewart Is Even More Embarrassing Than Stewart Getting Arrested For The Sucker Punch

We heard what happened last night. Isaiah Stewart punched Drew Eubanks in the face after an altercation in the tunnels going into the Suns/Pistons game. All I can think about when there's police presence at an NBA game is this: 

This honestly might be the funniest moment in TV history. Chuck and Shaq just cackling that there was a police presence because of basketball teams. Also think it might be the lowest moment in NBA history. We can't have the notion that every basketball guy is soft. It hurts the rest of us. Good to have Chuck and Shaq save us though by dying laughing at how stupid it all was.

Now last night we had Isaiah Stewart arrested. I still can't believe that's a real sentence: 

I get you can't be punching people in the face, but arrested? We really need a hockey guy to take over basketball. I mean that sincerely. Let them settle it with a quick fight on the court, go to the box and get it over with. No more sucker punches. No more police presence and no more sick league. We need a rebrand. It could start with Drew Eubanks, who played 18 minutes last night after the punch and buried Isaiah Stewart even more: 

[Source] - “Basically we were walking in, words were said, and then got face-to-face and he just sucker-punched me,” Eubanks said. “Security got in the way.”

It’s unclear what words were exchanged to escalate the situation, but Eubanks said he hadn’t had any prior beef with Stewart in the past.

“Just basketball shit,” he explained. “Just stuff that goes on the court.”

Before the game, Eubanks said he felt fine, aside from some blood on his teeth. He insisted in the locker room that he would play Wednesday night against Detroit.

“Nah, I’m straight,” Eubanks said. “Soft punch.”

This is more embarrassing than being arrested. You can't sucker punch a guy and have them claim it was a soft punch. If you're going to get arrested for punching another player, don't have them saying you punched like a bitch. Now, I say this from the comfort of my own recliner and someone who won't be punched in the face. I will not say this to Isaiah Stewart's face, because he's a lunatic

At the same time, Monty, uh, maybe it's okay for the Suns to say shit? 

Of course the Suns are going to say that! They had a guy punched in the face! What do you want them to say? Oh he shouldn't have been standing there? Come on. I get backing your guy, but you can't get pissed at the Suns for doing the same. Now we just need the video to come out. It has to. We get video for everything, give us this.
