#ChicletsCast: The Pittsburgh Penguins Need To Fire Their Powerplay Coach After RearAd Buried A Free Throw Before They Could Even Come Close To Scoring

The Pittsburgh Penguins are currently owners of one of the most pathetic powerplays in all of hockey. This team is cashing in at a whopping 13.6% clip. You could go ahead and just take 60 straight minutes of penalties against the Penguins this season, and you'd still have a decent chance at beating them. Which is insane to think about considering the Penguins are throwing guys like Crosby, Malkin, and Karlsson out there on the PP.

You'd have to stop and really think about anything in sports that has a worse percentage than the Penguins' powerplay. Maybe RA shooting a basketball?

Well last night we got a chance to finally put it to the test when the boys put on their first Chiclets Cast during the Penguins vs Panthers game on TruTV. The fellas put a hoop up in the studio during the game, and any time the Penguins went on the powerplay it was time to see if RearAd could drain a free throw before the Penguins could get themselves on the board.

Spoiler Alert: The Penguins went 0/4 on the PP last night. Meanwhile, Rear is ONIONS.

At some point, enough has to be enough. You think Sidney Crosby wants to be wasting the twilight of his career on a team that can hardly even get a shot off against 4 defenders? You think Evgeni Malkin wants to be wasting his time on a team that can't get one to drop before RearAd's shoulders pop off his body? No chance. If I'm either of those guys right now and I see what went down on that broadcast last night, I'm demanding a trade unless they bring in a new PP guy. Simple as that.

By the way, the Chiclets Cast was naturally awesome. It's perfect for a Wednesday night regular season NHL game. Maybe you'd actually want to listen to a traditional broadcast during game 7 of the Cup Final. But I'll take these stories over listening to someone say the Penguins just dumped the puck into the zone for the 12th straight time.

P.S. -- The Free Throw Challenge would still be going on for the next decade if RA had to hit the 41st shot. #DKPartner
