Speculation has soared since Shakira shared a series of pictures snapped at her weekend 47th birthday celebrations, including one which featured American former football player Julian Edelman.
Edelman, 37, and the Hips Don't Lie singer stood side by side with their arms around each other as they smiled at the camera in the black and white shot.
Fans of both Shakira and Edelman are now curious to know whether the image might point to the pair being romantically involved.
It would be unprofessional of me to not point out this is strictly at the rumor stage. But lately the Celebrity Rumor Industrial Complex has a Joe DiMaggio-like hit streak going, so it would be foolish to doubt this one. After all, let's take a brief look at the All Pros in his body count:
