Rank My Plates From Las Vegas' Biggest Buffet

*That video had way better cinematography than the slide show I had in mind making.

Bacchanal is Las Vegas' largest buffet and it's located inside Caesar's on the strip. It was just over $80 to get in, but this was my one nice dinner on the trip. With tip it was an even $100 and I had heard incredible things about this place. I went with Eddie and Clem. Eddie raved about it and had been there before, while Clem and I were just hungry.

I'm a big buffet guy. Always have been. Growing up we'd do chinese buffets once in awhile and as a guy who struggles with portion control and overeating, these places ruled. No limits! Bottomless dessert! Let's go!

So my first move was to do a lap. Figure out what was where and pick a starting line. I hadn't gone hard at a buffet in a long time, but I decided to start with the Asian food.

Whoops!

The beef and shisito peppers were both great. I'm not usually a big seafood guy. I find it's too much work for too little food. This Thai curry blue crab sounded awesome, but was messy and I didn't get enough there. But that's also more of a me problem and I'm aware of that. The Korean wings didn't look great, so I only got one, but it was relaly worth it. I was also just in the mood for sushi. On the way back to our table, I walked by a Surf & Turf taco and needed to add that to the spread. Good first plate, but lots of other areas to hit up.

Plate 2 I gotta play the hits.

The prime rib was awesome and the au jus was on point. Classic steakhouse sides made this a really terrific plate. I'm very impressed with the quality of food here.

I said I wasn't a seafood guy, but when in Rome, right?

I wanted to get my hands on some lobster claws. Then I remembered Eddie & Clem really liked their rissoto balls, so added that too. And then I was over by the Greek food station and decided to pick up a mini-gyro and a grape leaf. The beat salad was really good too.

Plate 4 was written in stone after I saw Eddie come back with it. I'm a whipped cream FIEND. Love the stuff. Can seemingly never get enough. Crepes are good, but the whipped cream really makes the dish.

While the crepe was very good, it was extremely filling. Or maybe was that my first three plates? Either way, this was a really great buffet and worth the money. The one knock I'd have on the place is that for the price, the tables and chairs inside are pretty low quality. Overall, I'd say it was like an 8.4/10 in my book. Would eat there again.
