A Man Decided To Wear His Apple Vision Pro Courtside During Sunday Night's Celtics Game

Apple Vision Pros are officially here. They're becoming a part of our every day lives. Or we're at least seeing them daily on the internet. I wrote a blog on Saturday about a man who appeared to be working in his Apple Vision Pro on a NYC subway.

In my blog I implied he should be robbed. That was maybe a little too far. I just felt like the ignorance of wearing $3,500 smart goggles on a NYC subway was so dumb that it deserved to be punished. But whatever. In the end he wasn't harming anybody, so I really shouldn't give a shit.

I suppose I should feel the same about this man sitting standing courtside at the Boston Celtics game. Although he's definitely bothering more people than the subway kid was, he's still harmless overall. Aside from him being annoying to look at, and potentially disrupting the view of 5 or 6 fans behind him, then who cares.

On the other hand, to be able to sit courtside at a Celtics game would be a once in a lifetime opportunity for 99.9% of people. I like to think I do fairly well for myself, and I even work at a "sports" media company, but even I would have to totally fall ass backwards into an extremely fortunate series of events for me to ever get the opportunity to sit courtside at The Garden. When I see a man wearing his Apple Vision Pro (doing god knows what I can't tell), instead of "appreciating the moment" as an old man yelling at a cloud would say, my inclination is to say fuck that guy.

But ya know what, I'm not going to be that guy anymore. I'm not going to sit here and chastise rich people for doing rich people things that deep down I wish I could do. That's not a healthy way to live your life. I'll simply internalize the anger I feel towards him, and merely imagine myself drop kicking the Apple Vision Pro wearer in the face and stealing his goggles off his stupid head. Who am I to judge? And who am I to say that wearing Apple Vision Pro's on the wood isn't fucking awesome.

Again, I have no clue what that man is doing. Is he shooting baskets on the Celtics hoop? Is that what's happening? Does he have multiple games up so he can watch more than what's right in front of his face? No idea. Come to think of it, those would be especially awesome to wear when attending NFL games. The worst part about attending 1pm NFL games is that you can't keep up with the entire slate of games. But you could with the Apple Vision Pro. I'm sure there's a bunch of cool shit you can do with your goggles. And if you're secure enough to wear them on your face in public despite the fact that you look like the biggest douche in the world, then more power to you.

But still, the first video I see of a someone ripping the smart goggles off the head of an influencer as he's walking around the south side of Chicago.... I'd be lying if I said I'm not going to enjoy that very much.
