Popular Bollywood Erotic Actress Poonam Pandey Decided That The Best Way To Spread Awareness For Cervical Cancer Was To Fake Her Own Death Over The Weekend And Piss Off A Lot Of People

I've always thought that faking your own death would be epic if appropriately executed. Everyone thinks you're dead, you've got enough money to start a new life in a land far, far away, and you just start fresh. The dream. Commissioner Gordon pulled it off in The Dark Knight to perfection, but he did it to avoid risking his family's safety. Had to take a gun shot to the back to pull it off which isn't ideal, but nevertheless got the job done. Bruce Wayne took a page out Gordon's book in the next movie while saving Gotham from a nuclear bomb. He then escaped to Europe with Anne Hathaway —much more preferable than returning to your old friends and family. Still not sure how no one out there managed to recognize a playboy billionaire like Bruce just out and about, but I digress. Doing this would be sweet. 

Elvis Presley and John McAfee are real life celebs who have been rumored to have faked their own deaths. Based off his Netflix doc, I'm pretty convinced McAfee is walking around some South American country right now doing his thing. 

Faking your death can also go poorly. Ask author Susan Meachen, who went with the ol' fake suicide move to simply promote her book sales. Yeah people weren't happy about that one. 

That one random guy nearly avoided jail because of his fake death but didn't spell "registry" right in the death certificate.

Well over the weekend a Bollywood erotica actress by the name of Poonam Pandey (tremendous name) tried this scheme on for size. Now who is Poonam Pandey? We're in the same boat of confusion, but she does boast over a million IG followers so she's not a nobody by any means. People seem to like her work and if you look hard enough on the internet there's clips of her wearing zero clothes.

Well, over the weekend her team revealed through her Instagram account that she had passed away from cervical cancer. Very sad. Lots of her friends, family, and fans mourned her loss. 

But not so fast! Poonam rose from the ashes just a day later to announce to the world that she was in fact alive and well. According to Poonam this was her way of… promoting cervical cancer awareness?

As you can imagine, people did not like that announcement one bit. The masses are furious that this woman is alive. Usually the public roots against cancer, but not here. Fake death gone bad? Prepare for the hate storm to swallow you up. People don't like looking stupid. 

I've lost track of who is advising Pandey these days but they for sure need to all be jailed. Poonam gotta go to jail. Everyone gotta go to jail. I'm no doctor, but faking your own death and making everyone sad only to reveal 24 hours later it was just a prank is probably not the best way to promote cervical cancer awareness. I'm all for cancer awareness. We all need to get checked regularly, but this one is tough.
