Arsenal Manager Mik Arteta Says Players Have Been "Sharing Wives"

Mikel Arteta has revealed Ben White and Oleksandr Zinchenko have been living together over the last few days, following their altercation on the pitch after the game against Nottingham Forest.

Mikel Arteta: “They’ve been in the same house for the last few days, sharing wives and everything. They’re living together now. They are best mates. You don’t argue with someone you don’t have a great relationship with.”

In some countries, they let you have multiple wives, but in England, they let you share wives. Honestly, it's not the worst concept I've heard. In fact, I think there's already a term for it. Is it possible that Arsenal's two-game win streak is a result of their players being swingers? Or is this another hilarious case of the language barrier in football? If I were a betting man, I'd say the language barrier is the better bet.

It would be season suicide if Mikel Arteta went to the English press and told them that his team is a bunch of swingers. I think what Mikel was trying to say was that since both players live together, they both reap the rewards of what each wife brings to the table. One day Ben's wife will do the laundry, while Zinchenko's wife will make dinner. Or maybe their wives are the breadwinners, and they take turns on who pays the bills for the month.

The moral of the story is, don't use the phrase 'sharing wives,' or Twitter is going to have a field day. Myself included:
