Michael Bublé Took A Few Mushrooms To Draft His Team At The NHL All Star Game

The NHL All-Star Game has been trying their hardest to figure out a way to get people interested in the event again. Unfortunately, the NHL trying hard means that they're coming up with the most idiotic ideas ever. In reality, the only thing you need to do to get fans excited about the All-Star Game again is to do another North America vs The World type of matchup. The All-Star Game was great when there was some actual pride on the line, but for some reason the higher ups at the league can't seem to grasp that idea.

So their brilliant idea for this year's ASG was to have celebrity captains picking the teams schoolyard style. You had Justin Bieber and Auston Matthews picking the blue squad, Tate McCrae and Nate MacKinnon picking the yellow squad, Will Arnett and Connor McDavid picking the white team, and you had Michael Bublé with the Hughes brothers picking the red team.

All I can say is the NHL better hook up Michael Bublé with anything that man wants after he saved the night with some entertainment. And also, they should hook up whichever one of Bublé's buddy set him up with a hefty dose of shrooms before the draft.

Okay so quick sidenote here: Unreal reference to Blades Of Glory from Bublé there. Such an underrated and forgotten Will Ferrell flick. High on mushrooms, thinking you're in Blades Of Glory, and all of a sudden you look to your right and there's Will Arnett chilling in cheetah print.

It's in my favorite category of movies, which is the ones you can throw on during a hungover Sunday morning and just doze in and out of sleep while watching. Blades Of Glory, Year One, Balls of Fury, pretty much every movie made from 2007-09. But I digress.

Back to the point here--Michael Bublé rules. Guy has a voice made from the finest silk the world has ever known, has a chokehold on the Christmas season, and just likes to enjoy some hockey while sending his brain to an alternate dimension. Seems like a pretty chill life to me. It's pretty rare that celebrities get more likable with the more you start to learn about them, but Michael Bublé has managed to do that.

P.S. -- Biggest Hockey Guy move of all-time for Crosby to skip the ASG draft to take a morning skate at this sick ODR in Montana.

Guy doesn't give a shit about celebrities. Couldn't care less about another ASG appearance. He's just going to go full pads on the ODR by himself to get better at 36-years-old.
