Every Lions Fan Should Be Losing Their Goddamn Mind After Seeing Josh Reynolds Say 'Shit Happens' To Explain His Drops Against The 49ers

[Source] - “Shit happens, man,” Reynolds said Monday, via Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press. “I know what kind of player I am. Didn’t want to drop them. Shit happens. I just — do I want those back? Of course, but I can’t and I just got to work this offseason and be prepared for the moment when it comes.”

I don't care how important Josh Reynolds was to the Lions or what games he played good in. The fact he came out and said shit happens when dropping TWO catches against the 49ers and being a major reason why they lost the game can't happen. It's the last thing any Lions fan should want to hear. Hell, I'm not even a Lions fan, simply a normal American who wanted to watch Dan Campbell in a Super Bowl and this pisses me off. Shit happens? How is that what you come up with after this:

Shit doesn't happen. You dropped a 4th and 2 which in turn led to an incredibly absurd screaming match about analytics and kickers and Dan Campbell. Hell, I don't even think people know analytics they just say it to say it. It's a buzz word that you can just throw out there and immediately ignite a war of words.

I'm not saying I want my WR3 to threaten violence, I just want a guy who played a major role in a collapse to take some ownership besides shit happens. Shit doesn't happen. You dropped two passes. You cost the Lions a 4th down pickup and then forced them to actually punt. You made Dan Campbell punt, that's all you need to know. It's not shit happening. It's not coming through. It's failure.

It's not doing your job. Hell, we have talked more about that on a goddamn blog for 4 days, pretty sure a pro athlete can handle it. There were plenty of reasons for the Lions downfall and blame to go around (shit, this is just radio talk now), but Josh Reynolds is reason 1.

If I'm a Lions fan I'm losing my mind. Dan Campbell said it, this might be their only shot. Every time a team comes up and makes a run you assume they will stick around. However, I use the Thunder as my reason here. Remember when the Thunder would win multiple titles after losing to the Heat? Yeah, they never made it back and lost all their players. It was their only shot with that group, same could happen here. So, the last thing you want to hear is shit happens. Catch the fucking ball!
