The Actor Who Plays Arthur Shelby In "Peaky Blinders" Reportedly Got Arrested For Cocaine Possession Because Fans Keep Wanting To Do Cocaine With Arthur Shelby

Source -- Peaky Blinders actor Paul Anderson has pleaded guilty to four charges of drug possession, and has been ordered by a court in London to pay £1,345 (around $1,500) in fines.
Anderson was arrested on Boxing Day (December 26th) after being found in possession of several drugs, including crack cocaine, amphetamines, and two prescription substances, diazepam and pregabalin.
…the lawyer reportedly told the court, referring to Anderson’s Peaky Blinders character, Arthur Shelby. “He is often recognized and does his best to please fans of the show by slipping into character.”
Continuing, the lawyer explained that after Anderson was recognized by on Boxing Day, he “tried to play up for these people. And because of the lifestyle he leads people often give him inducements.” Ultimately, this allegedly resulted in Anderson’s drug-use that night. “He has found himself in an unfortunate position and should have had the strength to say no.”

The actor who once went by the name of Paul Anderson doesn't exist anymore. He's Arthur Shelby from now until the rest of time. Arthur Shelby does a fuck ton of cocaine. That's his character. And nobody has an issue with it when they're watching it on their TV screen. You don't have authorities banging down Paul Anderson's door after wrapping up season 2. Arthur Shelby is allowed to do as much cocaine as he wants.
So if fans go up to Paul Anderson and want him to slip into the role of Arthur Shelby while doing a shit ton of cocaine? Well that seems perfectly legal to me. That ain't Paul Anderson doing that line. The man is method acting, for pete's sake. Do we just not respect the arts anymore? Paul Anderson is an innocent man. By order of the Peaky fookin' Blinders.
