PETA Uses RIP Uga Tweet To Demand Georgia To Retire Mascot For Good, Gets Insanely Ratio'd

Yesterday was a sad day in the Georgia community as Uga X passed away after 9 and 1/2 years of a great life. He ruled the sidelines at Sanford Stadium between inhabiting his dog house with an air conditioner. He was the goodest boy to ever good boy.

The response to his death was heartbreak across the internet for obvious reasons. I didn't see a bad word uttered about Uga....until PETA got involved:

PETA saw Uga died and took the opportunity to demand Georgia to retire the bulldog mascot immediately. They got their graphics guy on the line and told they/them to get to work. At the time of this blog, the tweet has 5.3 million views and only....830 likes. There were 3,300 replies and 1,800 quote tweets to this ridiculous tweet that brought all of Twitter and SEC fanbases together, which is a very hard thing to do. On top of this hilarious ratio, the tweet was community-noted, with a link to how Uga lived a normal lifespan for his English Bulldog breed (8-10 years).

It's truly great to watch the internet come together against one of its most hated entities, PETA. It reminds us that we aren't that divided. There is hope. We will all be tuned in for the announcement of Uga XI...who will be the cutest puppy to ever puppy.
