Credit To 78 Year Old Dolly Parton For Ignoring Her Husband's Terrible Advice That Her Thanksgiving Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Outfit Was Too Short

We're just a few months removed from Dolly Parton stealing the show at Jerry World and saving Thanksgiving. Our country was left in shambles after Jack Harlow's atrocious performance in Detroit earlier in the day and we needed saving. Dolly Parton did just that as she donned her Dallas Cowboys cheerleader outfit and blew everyone away.

We're now learning that her husband Carl Dean did his best to stop Parton from rocking the outfit. Thankfully his insane, blasphemous opinion was immediately discarded. The moment we tell Dolly Parton what she can and can't wear at 78 years old is the moment we crumble as a society.

The country superstar, who sported the classic outfit during a halftime performance at an NFL game in November 2023, says Dean questioned her on the length of the teeny shorts.

“He did say something like, ‘What? Is it, a little short, don’t you think?” she told Page Six exclusively in an interview on Wednesday.

The “Jolene” singer says that she retorted: “No! It’s not as short as theirs,” referring to the iconic dance squad’s uniforms.

I thought, if I can, if I could pull this off, that’d be a cool little thing to do,” she explained.

“I thought most people would excuse me if it didn’t turn out. I thought, they’re just like us, some older woman making a bad mistake,” she added. “Or I thought, well, maybe it’ll just be something cool to do.”

Queen. Good on her for not giving a fuck. Do whatever you want Dolly. The world needs more of you and less of whatever the hell Jack Harlow attempted on that day. Just ask Stu
