Post Malone Will Be Singing “America The Beautiful” and Reba McEntire Will Perform the National Anthem at The Super Bowl

Cos - Reba McEntire will sing “The Star Spangled Banner” at this year’s Super Bowl, while Post Malone will perform “America the Beautiful,” the NFL has announced.

Additionally, Andra Day will sing “Lift Every Voice and Sing” as part of the pre-game festivities.

Coda actor Daniel Durant will accompany McEntire by performing the National Anthem in ASL. Actress, model, and dancer Anjel Piñero will sign “America the Beautiful,” and actor and choreographer Shaheem Sanchez will sign both “Lift Every Voice and Sing” and the halftime show (which will be headlined by Usher).

Not who I would have guessed to perform at the inaugural “Vegas Super Bowl”, but this is a good call in appeasing the crowd who will inevitably call Usher’s half time performance trash.

Everybody loves Reba McEntire. Maybe not as much as White Sox Dave does, but there’s not a single American who dislikes her. You may not loooooove her trademark twang, scarlet red hair, or sense of humor, but you don’t not like her.

And Post Malone, for as polarizing a figure and artist as he was ten years ago, has won a TON of his haters and naysayers over these past few years. Simply by showcasing his talents, not being afraid to push the envelope, and by just being a generally “good dude”.

Here’s to hoping both of these two combined can be half as good as Stapleton was at last years…

P.s.- think about how far we’ve come, that we’re having a Super Bowl in Las Vegas this year. The gambling capital of the universe. A few years ago you’d get drawn and quartered for mentioning the words NFL and gambling in the same sentence, outside your home. Now the league is set to throw the greatest week long Super Bowl event in the entertainment, hospitality mecca. Wrote about it several times here but I think it’s going to go so well, and impress so many people that Vegas will become an every 3-4 year SB host city.
