The Best Call Of Last Night Came From My Alma Mater When A Buzzer Beater Caused The Announcer To Completely Lose His Mind

Wouldn't be doing my boys on the hill justice without mentioning this one last night which was without a doubt the buzzer beater of the night. Now I do need to say, the shot was solid and credit to Tavon Jones, but it quickly got overshadowed by the announcer absolutely losing his mind on the call. 

I gotta call it fair here. Is it over the top? 10000% Is it excessive? You bet ya. But guess what? That's what it's supposed to be. This kid isn't a pro. This game ain't on ESPN. Far from it. He's also a student. If he loses his mind because his school wins and can't speak on a broadcast and instead starts uncontrollably screaming so be it. This is what we want. There's like a 5% chance another Nichols clip goes viral (even though the team has been rolling shoutout Coach Brock) ever. Why not have fun with one that picks up some steam? Why not be able to laugh at the fact that in the biggest call of your broadcasting career thus far you sounded like a screeching pig? Be able to laugh at yourself. I loved this clip, and hopefully the announcer laughs off how ridiculous he sounds.
