Watching Anthony Edwards Legitimately Fly And Then Dunk On People Will Never Get Old

Part of the beauty of the NBA season is the fact that you can be minding your own business scrolling Twitter while waiting for the 7:30 tip off of your favorite team and suddenly a basketball video will come across your timeline that makes you stop in your tracks. Maybe you whisper "holy shit" to yourself.

More often than not, Anthony Edwards is going to be the focus of that video. Not only is he insanely talented and currently taking a massive leap, but he also is one of the best in game dunkers we have. The man simply loves dunking on people. If there's going to be a player who gives you a "holy shit" moment, Edwards is pretty damn high on that list.

Take tonight for example. What else is there to say when we see him legitimately fly to the rim?

I feel like "holy shit" is the proper reaction to a play like that. I mean, look at where this dude took off from off both feet

Let's not pretend like this is a normal play and that there are a bunch of other players who can pull something like this off. The shock of where he takes off from combined with how he glides through the air only to finish with an insane amount of force is truly special. How many times do we see NBA players actually fly? I'm thinking almost never. For Edwards, it was normal. My brain can't really comprehend being able to do something like this, but I imagine it's pretty sweet.

I'll say it again, this is example 2346834576345 of why you should be watching the NBA every night. We get a "holy shit" moment pretty much every night, and there's a chance we could get another one from Edwards himself before their game against the Pistons is over.

Before we go, I will say in terms of a "poster" I'm not going to go there. The defender kind of slides out of the way. The more impressive part of his dunk is simply how Edwards flew to the rim and then finished. Not a poster dunk in my opinion, but one that rules all the same.
