Todays Lunch Reminded Me That It's a Privilege to be an Italian-American
Madone!!! Look at this fucking spread!! You gotta be kidding me?? Every morning I wake up I thank God for two things: Big Cat being right about free lunch for a month and my beautiful mother for making me Italian. The lunches these last two days have showed me how blessed I am to come from an Italian family. Our food is top of the pyramid nothing comes close, not even Greek. Although I do love me some Greek food. Being Italian is a privilege, we've got everything: food, movies, singers, Tommy Devito, Big Dom, Martin Scorsese, Tommy Smokes, Nicky Smokes, Frank Sinatra, Christopher Columbus, the list never ends.
Name another nationality that has the Sopranos, Jersey Shore, The Godfather, Good Fellas, Casino, Bronx Tale, I'll wait! Back to the food though, shoutout Alla Vista for today's lunch it was without a doubt the best spread we've had all month. The bread on the sandwiches were toasted to perfection. The chicken parm melted in your mouth, the cannoli's were the best I've had in Chicago. It was nice and crunchy on the outside but quickly melted in your mouth. Even the salads knocked your socks off. It was beautiful. I've never been happier in my entire life. Seeing everyones face light up to my peoples food warmed my heart. It reminded me of when my Nonna would bring the food out to the table on Sunday dinner. It was special.
Also please allow me to apologize to Big Cat real quick for this blog:
Free lunch for the month of January is the GREATEST thing that ever happened to the office. I couldn't have been more wrong. This is why Big Cat gets paid the big bucks and I just try to find my lane. Big Cat I LOVE YOU! Thank you for being so much smarter than I am. This is the best day ever. THANK YOU!
