BAN THE SLIDE VOL 2: Josh Allen's Fake Slide For A Touchdown And Not Fake Slide For A Penalty Further Proves My Point

I am once again asking the NFL BAN THE SLIDE. Back on the campaign trail for a second time in less than a week after watching Josh Allen trick safety Damontae Kazee (#23) into thinking he was coming to a complete stop to presumably give himself up. This is the mentality defensive backs are forced to have. They have to assume a slide is coming because they know quarterbacks are given full leverage to slide once they've already commited their momentum.

That set up the ole fake fake slide for a penalty later on.

I didn't catch which brain dead retired ref in the booth tried explaining this as if the defender had time to hold up but whoever it was needs to go back to third grade science class. Anyone with a brain understands how inertia works and that can't assume a player is going to slide before it happens. (LOL... I guess I stand corrected). But he can't do that while also not giving up a touchdown.

This is a joke. Keep in mind I love the Bills, I love Josh Allen, and I bet on them -10 AND the over. But that was some weak shit. (Also can't really blame Josh - if it works it works!). It's dumb enough to allow quarterbacks to slide from a safety perspective as I explain in the blog below but I didn't even mention how it forces defenders to assume a slide is coming when players pull that shit.

I'm sure Steelers fans are with me here. They wouldn't be caught dead with players with a history of doing candy ass moves like that.

Join me in my campign. BAN THE SLIDE GOODELL!
