Ball Is Life: Rick Pitino Would Rather Jump Into The Cold And Die Of Frostbite Before He Loses A Game By One Ever Again

Take it easy, Rick! I mean, sure, this is what I want my head coach to say after losing by one and giving up a couple free throws with 5 seconds left to lose a game on the road. But we can't have Rick out here talking about jumping into the cold and freezing to death. Won't have it. College basketball is better when Rick is at a major conference program and for sure better when said team is decent. That's what he has with St. John's. They actually look like a tournament team now that RJ Luis is healthy and playing. 

Best part is you know Rick is 100% serious here. This is just how Pitino operates. He won't take some hey we tried hard bullshit. Good. Welcome to sports. We shouldn't be celebrating losses unless your team is tanking. Little bit of news: you can't tank in college basketball. It's not like you get the top transfer if you stink. Also good luck stinking it up when you're in the same conference as DePaul and Georgetown.

But this is the sign that St. John's is back. Rick Pitino fucking hates the world and is ready to die to win. Never been so sure this hire will work out, besides the fact that Pitino is probably the best coach in America. That helps too. Everyone assumed he's talking about Hurley here, who is always calm and collected on the sidelines. Plus you have the whole Carnesecca arena thing for next year and this rivalry is old school Big East. Just keep Pitino alive. Can't have him wandering into the cold of Omaha and freezing his ass off because of a 1-point loss. Man lives and dies for basketball, respect the hell out of that.
