Joe Flacco Has Never Lost A Wild-Card Weekend Game....And That's Not Changing Today

Undefeated in the Wild-Card round? Tied for most road playoff wins in NFL history.....with TOM FUCKING BRADY? Every time I see stats like these, I have to wonder to myself: did we give the $230,000,000 guaranteed to the wrong guy? And what the fuck were 90% of GMs doing this past year? The Browns gave all other 31 franchises in the league until November 20th to sign this guy. But bad news for them, we got him, and.....

Giphy Images.

I can't believe the Cleveland Browns 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th string players at essentially every single position have been injured this year, but we're still heading into a road playoff game as favorites with the best road playoff QB this league has ever seen. Honestly, I don't think it can be comprehended how electric a home playoff game would be in Cleveland this weekend….but aren't we kinda glad this one is on the road? And besides, this is only considered a road game by technicality. My sources are saying this is actually going to look like a BROWNS HOME GAME on the TV.

Can you imagine if the Browns ever host one of these….?

And I'll also say this: I do think that passing Brett Favre for most Wild-Card wins and passing Tom Brady for most road playoff wins are the likeliest of records to be broken today in Houston, but one can't help but think there's another high mark that is in jeopardy this afternoon: Joe Flacco only needs 10,177 yards to break Tom Brady and the NFL's career record. And I know that seems far fetched, but let's not forget that the last time Joe Flacco led the Browns into Houston to face the Texans:

Okay, joke times over. I don't think Flacco is going for 10K yards today, but I do think the Browns are going into Houston and beating the Texans by more than few points Vegas says they will. I love CJ Stroud as much as the next guy, but trust me, he has not been known to win the big one. And I'll gladly take the guy who has been there, done that (many times) in the playoffs over the rookie making his career start against Him Schwartz and the best defense in the National Football League.

That man looks ready to dial up some pressure and man the fucking shit out of the Texans. CJ Stroud leads the NFL against zone…..but it's a damn shame that we excel in man-to-man.

I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, but I feel very confident heading into today's game. QB advantage. Defense advantage. Coaching advantage. Crowd advantage. And the fact that it's a road game for Joe Flacco in the wild card round appears to be the biggest advantage of them all.
