Amateur Treasure Hunter Dreams There's Gold Under His House, Digs Hole 12 Stories Deep, Falls Down The Hole And Dies

NYPost - A man died after falling down a 130-foot hole he dug under his kitchen floor after dreaming there was gold buried under his property in Minas Gerais, Brazil. João Pimenta, 71, lost his balance Thursday afternoon and plunged down the massive pit he excavated, which ended up being as tall as a 12-story building.

You retire early, you die early. There's science to back it up. Something about losing your routine you've been accustomed to over the last 40 years. Maybe the government is telling us that so we keep contributing to the work force, but instead of woking after retirement age, you could to find some sort of serious hobby to keep yourself occupied. I'll probably never be able to retire and I'll end up a geriatric bag of bones greeting people at a bumble fuck Indiana Wal-Mart.

IF I ever do retire, I want to spend my remaining years exactly like this amateur treasure hunter from Brazil. Randomly have a dream there is a mountain of gold underneath my house, then dedicate my entire life and pension to digging a hole to obtain that treasure. Honestly, it's refreshing to hear a story about a man digging a massive pit in his house, and it not being a weird sex pit like Silence of the Lambs. Feel like if someone is digging a pit in their house, there is a 99% chance its for sex stuff. But not this Brazilian guy.

In a year, this 71 year old man was able to dig 12 stories deep into the ground. I could spend my entire life to digging a hole in the ground and I don't think I'd get as far as this guy. Truly an incredible feat. Sucks he fell down, but at least he died chasing his dream (literally.) Someone has to continue the excavation on this hole. The man managed to dig down 12 stories, what if the gold is 14 stories deep? Never give up.
