We began Thursday night in the NBA with a Giannis vs Wemby heavyweight fight. Two stars exchanging blows and playing some of the highest level of basketball you'll ever see.

We ended Thursday night in the NBA with a Steph vs Jokic instant classic. The last two champions in the league, each throwing daggers at one another for 48 minutes. As thrilling and exciting as the Spurs/Bucks game was, the late night game was just as great. A pairing that has a bit of juice given the postseason history between these two teams, it should be noted that the Nuggets have owned this matchup as of late (6 wins in a row).

The latest win of course comes via Jokic's insane game winner

What a fucking shot. A contested pullup three from basically half court? From a center? Ridiculous and frankly should not even be possible. My gut is to call this a prayer, but at the same time it's Jokic and he does this kind of shit all the time so it shouldn't really surprise anyone. The way he got into his jump stop before going up for his shot was perfect. Had he tried to take that three on the run there's no chance he makes it, so the fact that he had the presence of mind to set himself and still get it off before the buzzer is big time stuff.

To finish with 34/9/10 on 13-16 shooting and to cap off a 13 point 4th quarter comeback with a shot like that is why Jokic is truly special and a 1 of 1 player. Brutal collapse by GS, but that a story for a different day. Tonight is about Jokic. What a shot.
