Justin Fields Left The Last Home Game To Chants Of "We Want Justin", but...Do We?

Sunday was an incredible display by Justin Fields. For my money, I think that was his best game as a Chicago Bear. We finally saw both the electric escapability and running with a competent passing attack (even with Kmet injured). It was beautiful. If the Bears had managed to win two of their three calamitous losses (Denver, Detroit, Cleveland) the Bears would be in a playoff spot and I don't think many people would be screaming for Caleb Williams. Even as it stands, one win has apparently swung many of the people in Chicago

49k+ votes isn't exactly a small sample size. 76% of people want to bring back Justin Fields. Including Big Cat

And Baldy

I still don't know how I feel. A big factor for me is that I am not in love with the QBs at the top of the draft. I think I'd prefer the King's ransom for the #1 pick and then add a top WR and either a LT or Edge rusher. If Fields can grow into the player that delivers the way he did against the Falcons consistently then that is more than fine. It's in there and I think there's something to be said for stability, consistency, and growth. A better roster around Fields would also go a long way. I think this stretch of games proves that the Bears aren't too far off from being a playoff team as is. Improvements at QB, OL, DE, and FS through the draft and free agency probably puts them over the top.

One more week before the most important and toxic offseason in the history of the franchise. Beat Green Bay and then we can turn our sights on each other on twitter
