Watch: Wild Video Of A Bunch Of Californians Running For Their Lives After MASSIVE Rogue Wave Crashes On Beach

Source - A monster wave crashed over a seawall in SoCal, injuring at least 8 people and sending dozens fleeing in panic.

West Coast weather has caused a surge in waves along the coast ... folks in Northern Cali have marveled at waves as high as 35 feet.

As for this video ... it was shot in SoCal in the city of Ventura Thursday. Curious beachgoers were standing by the seawall, assuming it would protect them ... it did not. They get pummeled by the force of the wave, knocking some folks down and underwater.

The Video:

You know, I've always thought that when people say, "don't buy a house by the ocean" it's because they're poor. Who wouldn't want a house by the ocean? Status symbol aside it is the ultimate way of living. Wake up, take a dip, feel the cool breeze, bask in the hot sun. Sounds like a dream...until I see videos like this that serve as a brutal reminder of how powerless we are against mother nature. And I'm not here to victim shame the people who didn't get out of way (there wasn't much time), but if you see the ocean gearing up to basically burp out a wall of water, RUN. Don't lallygag your ass to nearest seawall...

Run. That always has to be in the back of your mind and I'm not sure I want that stress. Don't get wrong I'd take it over the stress I have now, but there's something about knowing how powerful the ocean is that freaks me out. If you've been in "North Sea" TikTok you know what I'm talking about. I guess it depends on where you live and what ocean you're near.

Regardless, shout out to this guy who basically out-drove the wave…

He was the only person in the video who decided to risk it and it paid off. Everyone else just ran. Anyway, eight people were taken to the hospital and no deaths have been reported. Fingers crossed those injured make a speedy recovery. That's it for this one. Have a safe weekend and stay out of the ocean.
