The 2024 National Signing Day All-Name Team

It's that time of year again: preparing to ruin Christmas if the 17-year-olds I like choose to attend a school other than the one I want.

National Signing Day is one of the most important days on the college football calendar for every program, but my personal favorite part is seeing all the great names that come out of it each year. From Kobe Buffalomeat to Dee Liner to DeColdest Crawford, every class gives us a handful of elite names that everyone remembers for years regardless of how good these players turn out to be.

So without further ado, here is the 2024 All-Name Team:

Nitro Tuggle, Georgia WR

NiTareon "Nitro" Tuggle is the No. 14 WR in the 2024 class and is headed to Georgia, a combination of factors which is almost certain to produce a truly elite football player. This guy could be on the All-Name Team with his real first name or nickname and will be playing for the best program in the country. I have a feeling we're going to be hearing about Nitro Tuggle for a long time.

Legend Journey, Cal DL

Legend Journey's name literally translates to "The Iliad." There has maybe never been a more perfect name for a Cal student-athlete.

King Large, SMU OL

If King Large doesn't become a 12-year NFL veteran, I'm going to be highly disappointed. I would guess this kid is going to be swimming in NIL dollars for the next few years, though. Anyone selling trucks in the Dallas-Fort Worth area needs to have King Large in their commercials.

KingJoseph Edwards, Syracuse DL

Sticking with the royalty theme, we go from King Large to KingJoseph Edwards. King on its own is fantastic, but I think I like the twist of tacking it onto another name even more.

Willie Nelson, Oklahoma State DB

It's Willie Nelson. And he's playing for the Cowboys. Fuck yeah.

Capone Blue, Wake Forest DB

Nothing on National Signing Day would be complete these days without a player out of the transfer portal, which is where we get Kent State-turned-Wake Forest DB Capone Blue. I don't know what kind of demand there will be for Capone Blue merch in Winston-Salem, but a shirt of this kid in his uniform with a fedora and Tommy gun would go insanely hard.

Tommy Running Rabbit, Montana ATH

I mean, come on. This kid is going first overall in the 2024 All-Name Draft, no question. Maybe the best name I've come across in several years of doing this blog annually.
