Baker Mayfield Is Perfect

The Buccaneers had a massive win against the division leading Falcons last week to take the crown, but needed to follow it up today with a huge conference game in Green Bay to maintain their lead. The Bucs started off hot with a Field Goal and a goalline stand, but shortly thereafter Baker Mayfield made his only real mistake of the day.

And after briefly trailing, 7-3, the Baker and the Bucs didn't look back.

Baker did an outstanding job today going 22/28 for 381 yards with 4 TDs. That was good enough to earn himself a perfect passer rating. Mayfield became the first visiting QB to ever record that a Lambeau Field.

Maybe Marty Mush was right all along.

I've been on this train for a few weeks, but if Baker can continue to play predominantly good football, I am totally fine with bringing him back to start next year.

Behind Baker, the Bucs move to 7-7 and are tied with the Saints, who they currently have the tiebreaker against for the lead in the NFC South. The Falcons lost to the lowly Panthers today and are a full game back, so the NFC South continues to run through Tampa!
