This Week In The NFL Officiating Is Fucking Pathetic: Refs Missed A Blatant Block In The Back During The Ravens Game Winning Punt Return TD
I mean it doesn't really get more black and white than that. And not only was it a blatant block in the back of Jake Hummel, but Tylan Wallace caught that kick right next to it, meaning there were at least 3 sets of eyes right in that area. It's not like that happened away from the play.
The Ravens defeated the Rams 37-31 on that walkoff punt return with around 5 minutes left in overtime.
So a pretty huge blown call there.
Week in and week out this shit is happening. It's no secret, it's been fucking terrible for a while now, but It is historically awful this season. What makes it even worse. (And more shady). Is that sports betting is now mainstream, it's not uncle Dino's dirty little secret the rest of the family looks down upon. It's legal everywhere. You've got soccer moms reloading their accounts to spread a few bucks on some 5x5 parlays. All time bad time to be this bad.
