Jeff Bezos' Neighbors Are Complaining To The Press That He Didn't Participate In Their "Day Of Service" By Picking Up Trash Around The Neighborhood

Source - Amazon founder Jeff Bezos reportedly can’t be bothered to pick up the trash during an annual “day of service” in his ultra-exclusive Seattle-area enclave — and angry neighbors accuse the mogul of “acting like he owns” the place.

Bezos, the world’s second richest person with a fortune valued by Bloomberg Billionaires Index at $171 billion, owns four properties in the small, wealthy Hunts Point enclave that he bought for $45 million — which makes up part of his sprawling $190 million real estate portfolio in the Pacific Northwest.

But residents in Hunts Point, home to some of the wealthiest business leaders in the country, say the billionaire hasn’t participated in the neighborhood’s annual springtime ritual called “Cleanup Day” — in which denizens gather to plant trees, weed gardens and pick up litter.

Here's the thing about the rich - they get bored. That's why cold plunges exist, because they need something to do. They want to feel accomplished, so they freeze themselves every morning for two and half minutes then talk about it the rest of the day like they solved world hunger. That's also why "days of service" exist in ultra nice neighborhoods, because the people who live there need feel like they did something. They know they're not actually doing anything, but they lie to themselves to pretend like they did. It makes the afternoon cocktails taste better.

That said, once you reach a certain level of wealth you no longer need to lie to yourself. You don't need to pretend that picking up a piece of trash next to your mega mansion is doing good for the environment. You can skip the whole song and dance and fuck off to whatever corner of the world you want. Which is why Jeff Bezos neighbors expecting HIM to pick up trash is so preposterous. It's almost like they're jealous. He's also THE RICHEST MAN IN THE WORLD, idiots. I think he's priced himself out of fake community service. Here's what the neighbors had to say...

“I’ve seen a billionaire pick up trash on Cleanup Day. Not Jeff Bezos,” one resident of Hunts Point told Business Insider on Friday. The event includes a continental breakfast, a barbecue lunch and a bouncy house for kids, according to Business Insider.

They're also apparently upset over his security guards?...

Neighbors are also chafing over Bezos’ security guards, who have twice called police to report suspicious people who turned out to be employees and contractors of some of his wealthy neighbors, according to a report.

“Jeff Bezos acts like he owns Hunts Point,” one resident told Business Insider.

Bezos himself is rarely seen, according to local residents who lauded the fact that other uber-billionaires nearby are much more accessible

“He’s not much of a neighbor,” a Hunts Point local told Business Insider. “He’s so busy with all this national stuff.”

The entire thing is a joke. These people have enough money to buy anything in world, yet what they desire more than anything is a sense of community? Weird. Like I said in the beginning of the blog, it has to be boredom. Anyway, keep doing you, Jeff. Don't sink to these losers level. That's it for this one. Have a great Sunday.
