Mike Trout Locks Down A Playoff Spot

Eagles Superfan Mike Trout has locked down a first round bye. Technically, not officially. If he loses at 153 points this week, he may be playing in Week 15, but assuming half his team's games don't get canceled, he'll earn a bye this year. He somewhat finalized that by taking out Alex Bregman, who is fighting til the end. De'Von Achane and Nico Collins outstanding efforts weren't any match for Jalen Hurts, south Jersey's own Isiah Pacheco, Ja'Marr Chase, and Mike Evans.

Bregman and McCann have been eliminated from the playoffs two years after Bregs took it home.

Jake Marisnick and Andrew Benintendi are also sitting pretty after handing Mike Napoli his eighth straight loss.

Nap has had a rough go this season with injuries and Marisnick and Benintendi skated by despite only having one player above 15 points. But that player, CeeDee Lamb put on a show with 32.6 points on Thursday Night Football. They're in the #2 spot looking at a bye barring a catastrophic loss.

In a massive matchup for seeding, Joc Pedersen, Austin Barnes, and Alex Wood took out Manny Machado. That triad had all their non-K/DST players over 15 points. A remarkably consistent performance.

On the other end, Manny got another huge day from his team's namesake, Tyreek Hill, but couldn't muster another 20 point scorer to shoulder the load. He stays in 4th and has clinched a playoff spot.

Dave Portnoy has not clinched a playoff spot and now despite being a top 3 scorer in the league, is in danger of missing the playoffs. He falls to 7-6 but faces the #7 team this week. A loss would oust him from the dance.

Conversely, the new guys, JT Realmuto and Kyle Schwarber got themselves into the #6 spot with huge games from Dak Prescott and Sam LaPorta. They face a 1-win team next week and will be in the playoffs with a win.

Shane Bieber and Austin Hedges have the same deal as they square off against Dave Portnoy next week. They're in the #7 spot after a huge win against the points leader Eric Hosmer.

Brock Purdy and Deebo Samuel came through in a major way with 73.26 combined points between them. Oh yeah and he had DK Metcalf go off on Thursday Night Football with 37.4 points. So Hosmer was behind the eight ball all weekend despite putting up a really strong showing. However, had he started Puka Nacua over Jaylen Warren at the FLEX spot, he would've been in the winner's circle and looking at a playoff birth. Instead, he'll need Dave to beat Biebs/Hedges and Wil Myers to take down the new guys while also winning his own matchup against 4th seeded Manny Machado.

In our final bout we had Mike Moustakas getting his 5th win of the season behind a big Evan Engram game. Wil Myers got a monster game from Joe Mixon but still failed to crack 100 and sadly had Hollywood Brown put up a donut for him.

Here's where we stand through 13 weeks with a lot of football still left to be played!
