The Detroit Red Wings Have Produced A Modern Marvel: A Bobblehead That Can Do The Griddy

We live in a universe that's constantly changing. Fashion is changing, styles are changing, sports are changing, and yet, for decades now, bobbleheads have always been cool. You know you've made it as an athlete when they make a bobblehead out of you. I hope that never changes. Bobbleheads are a staple of sports society, and the Red Wings organization may have just taken the next step in Bobblehead evolution.

The player here is Jake Walman, a defenseman with only 18 career goals. When goals are that difficult to come by, you're damn right you're going to celebrate every single one. I really hate the whole "act like you've been there before" shit when we talk about touchdowns, slam dunks, or goals. Do you know how fucking hard it is to make it in one of these leagues? If I was a professional athlete and I did something cool, I'd be spinning on my head every single time. Rocking the griddy is the least you can do. I love this video compilation of all the Red Wings checking out the bobblehead. It's the most Canadian shit ever. "Look at that, eh." Todd and Gordo would be proud.

I'm genuinely trying to put my best foot forward and get into the Red Wings this year. The team is on the up and up. I went to a game a few weeks ago. It was a ton of fun. They have goal scorers. Goaltending is optional on this team, but it's not out of the realm of possibility that they could make a run at the postseason, especially now that they've added Patrick Kane. The Wings ascension can't come quick enough. The Detroit Pistons have about as much talent as the Flint Tropics at this point, so the fans and LCA need something good to watch. Hopefully, the Red Wings can be a palate cleanser. I'll be there next week. Hopefully, they'll be handing out bobbleheads.
