Numbers Never Lie: Tommy DeVito Is An Elite Quarterback, Basically Outplaying Patrick Mahomes

Numbers never lie baby! Tommy DeVito is basically Patrick Mahomes. In fact if the Chiefs were smart they'd trade Mahomes to the Giants straight up for DeVito. They can stay younger, still have an elite quarterback and pay way less money. Twist my arm, I'd say John Mara should make that trade. Would be tough to lose the Italian Hand and a cult hero, but I'd be willing to make DeVito live in an apartment on his own for Mahomes. That's just me though. 

I've alway said any time you can take a small sample size and compare it, you simply have to. That's how arguments work. That's how you win an argument because again, numbers never lie. You may be sick of Tommy DeVito, but he's clearly an elite quarterback. Someone should probably trade a first rounder for him to save their franchise. Why take a risk on another pick when you can have a sure thing?

In all seriousness, I don't know what's going on with Mahomes this year. Well, I do. The receivers suck. But at some point doesn't he just make them good? That's how it always seemed to be. It also is what happens when you pay your quarterback an outrageous number on the salary. You gotta take cuts somewhere. I'm sure Mahomes will still have the Chiefs in the AFC title game because he quite literally always does. But putting up DeVito numbers? Either DeVito is elite or Mahomes stinks. Dealers choice.
