Washington City Council Candidate Refuses To Vote For Himself, Loses Election By Exactly 1 Vote

THURSTON COUNTY, Wash — Following a hand recount, voters in Rainier have elected Ryan Roth to the city council by a margin of one vote.

Roth beat out opponent Damion Green 247 to 246.

Green said he did not vote for himself.

”I didn’t feel comfortable,” said Green,  “I thought it was kind of narcissistic, so I didn’t.”

The hand recount results were the same as those tabulated by machines following the Nov. 7 election and were close enough to qualify for a mandatory recount.

Nobody in the history of politics has ever deserved to win an election more than this man, Damion Green. Politicians are collectively the biggest group of narcissistic ego-maniacs we have in this country. The fact that we have even one man running for any sort of office who is humble to the point that he doesn't feel right about writing his own name down on a ballot... that's a guy who should be in office. I mean look at this guy. He's got common man coming out the wazoo. He was legitimately working at place called, "Premier Collision" during the recount.

That's a man of the people. He hasn't picked up any bad habits. He hasn't been corrupted by years of political experience. In fact, he has ZERO experience whatsoever.

#Humble

Candidates from Barack Obama to Donald Trump to Kanye West will all but throw a parade for themselves as they enter the voting booth to cast their ballot. They put on a whole show of it. Not this man. Damion simply threw his hat in the ring, went back to fixing cars, and let the people decide for themselves.

Damion Green should run for President. That's a man the people could get behind. Maybe people are finally so fed up with politicians that it would actually work. Damion might be little underqualified. If America is going to behind a common man, we should probably pick a common man who at least bothered to fill out the information on his "About Me" form. Or maybe not. Maybe Damion is perfect. Run for President Damion. I'd vote for you.
