Reed Sheppard Is So Damn Good That Rick Pitino Was On Twitter Basically Dreaming Of Coaching Kentucky Again

Ahh a little ho-hum ass kicking over a top-10 team. I wanna say no big deal, but it's a big deal. It's a big deal because of what happened last year. It's a big deal because of the loss to Kansas and people starting to buy into this team. It's a big deal because it showed this team is truly back. Cal got the team he wanted and they look the part. Shit, they don't even look like any other Kentucky team because of the shooting, the way they fly around on offense and the passing.

And you know who makes that happen? This guy

A man by the name of Reed Sheppard, a legacy at Kentucky. Actually let me be more specific, a kid from Kentucky whose dad won MOP in 1998 for Kentucky. A kid who put on such a damn show tonight that Rick Pitino sent this tweet out:

Make it happen, eh? Rick Pitino just publicly cheering for Reed Sheppard to lead Kentucky to a national title is somehing I can get behind. That's a man who regrets leaving Kentucky, I can tell. He may have that Louisville tattoo, but he would have another 3-4 Kentucky ones if he stayed. So he can say he's happy to be back home in New York at St. John's, but he can't get enough of this

Decent night of 21 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Dude is everywhere. Not to mention he played basically the entire second half because DJ Wagner hurt his ankle and had to sit out. Don't care for that, but just get healthy please. Mind you this was also a 5 point game at half. What Reed Sheppard did to start the second half made the statement. It's not like he's a one man show either. Rob Dillingham 9 assists, Tre Mitchell is the perfect stretch big, Justin Edwards was damn good. No one was bad.

It feels good to be back. This team has something different, not just shooting. They actually enjoy playing basketball. They will go out there and kick people's asses. That's what was missing the last three seasons. I'd be dreaming of coaching this team too if I were Pitino.
