Usually if a report like this came out from a doomsayer New York reporter looking for clicks amidst another lost Giants season, I would roll my eyes. But if Jay Glazer says it, it is gospel in my book (unless it's him teasing the biggest NFL story ever that ended up being about an NFL player getting a virus seemingly every person in the world had back in 2020. But I digress).
Nonetheless, I can't say I'm shocked about this report since you are dealing with two Alphas in a high pressure job getting their asses kicked every week they don't play a dead dog from Washington. One may like to drop Deez Nuts jokes at the dinner table while the other drops his literal nuts in the weight room.
All things being equal, I would love if Dabes and Wink saw eye-to-eye through all this bullshit because I love them both. But two coaches beefing isn't the worse thing in the world for a team that could use as many losses as possible over the next 1.5 months. In fact you can even make a case that the Giants should fire Wink during halftime of this Patriots game (which some are saying is the biggest Giants-Patriots game in the history for both franchises) and go the rest of the season without a defensive coordinator in order to tank to number 1 so they can select whatever quarterback """experts""" tell us is the Can't Miss prospect of the draft. I'd miss the fuck out of Wink and his DGAF Defense. But at this point, everything about the rest of the year should be about securing the best pick possible, which unfortunately the Giants are failing at right now since they are sucking less than the Patriots during the Suck Bowl at MetLife today.
Damn I'm sad right now. Good thing I can load up on Sad Boy Season merch at the Barstool Store, which is 20% off through Cyber Monday. So I guess Portnoy is going to get my money, Feits is gonna get my business, and they both are gonna get my future franchise QB because undrafted Tommy fucking DeVito is somehow less worse than first round pick Mac Jones.
