Forecaster Frank NFL Picks Week 11: Getting Late

Another mediocre week saw me post a record of 7-7; on the season, I am still beyond awful at 68-80-3.

Thursday Night

  • Cin +3.5 (o/u 45.5)
  • Bengals 27 Ravens 24

The Bengals are the desperate team here, as the entire AFC North has a winning record, with Cincinnati lagging behind at 5-4. Both teams lost on last-second field goals on Sunday, but the Ravens' loss was more troubling as they saw a 24-9 lead evaporate against a quarterback with a broken shoulder.

Sunday at 1

  • Dal -10.5 (o/u 42.5)
  • Cowboys 41 Panthers 16

The Cowboys are a bully team. They go out and destroy bad teams and struggle against good teams. It does not get worse than the Panthers, who are 1-8.

  • Pit +2 (o/u 33.5)
  • Steelers 20 Browns 3

How are the Browns favored with Deshaun Watson now out for the season with a shoulder injury? This was an even game with Watson. Without Watson, the Steelers will win easily and even outgain Cleveland in yards.

  • Det -9 (o/u 47.5)
  • Lions 31 Bears 20

With a win, the Lions will be 8-2 for the first time since 1962. The Lions won a shootout in Los Angeles last week, driving down to win the game with a field goal as time expired against the Chargers. Meanwhile, the Bears clawed their way past the Panthers. The Lions can almost taste a division title.

  • LAC -3 (o/u 44.5)
  • Chargers 27 Packers 20

The Packers have played better over the past few weeks but are a long way from getting back to being a competitive team. The Chargers are expected to be a playoff team, but those hopes are fading at 4-5. The Chargers need a big win and get it.

  • Hou -5.5 (o/u 47.5)
  • Texans 33 Cardinals 13

The Texans are suddenly in the playoff picture, winning three of their last four games. C.J. Stroud is lapping the field in the Offensive Rookie of the Year race, as he has been putting up record passing numbers. Look for the Texans to win this one easily.

  • Jax -6.5 (o/u 39.5)
  • Jaguars 31 Titans 17

The Titans have lost their last eight games on the road, dating back to last season. The Jaguars may be coming off a bad loss, but it was a mere road bump, as they were a young team that lost to a desperate veteran team off their bye. Expect the Jags to bounce back with a statement win.

  • Mia -12 (o/u 46.5)
  • Dolphins 37 Raiders 20

The Dolphins had a great bye week. They are rested and getting healthy, as the Bills' loss gives them a two-game lead in the loss column. At home, they will go out and have a big day against the Raiders, as the AFC East is now theirs to lose.

  • NYG +9.5 (o/u 37.5)
  • Commanders 17 Giants 9

The Giants suck, but the Commanders are not ten points better than anyone.

Sunday Late Games

  • SF -11.5 (o/u 41.5)
  • 49ers 37 Buccaneers 10

The 49ers had a statement in Jacksonville to end their three-game losing streak. They are healthy and stronger after acquiring Chase Young. This will be a blowout as the Niners are launching to a big finish with their focus on the Super Bowl.

  • Buf -7 (o/u 40.5)
  • Bills 27 Jets 6

The Bills are playing for survival after their embarrassing loss to the Broncos on Monday night. The firing of OC Ken Dorsey was a shot across the bow. The Bills' season is over if that does not turn things around. They need to win this game, and they need to do it impressively.

  • LAR +1 (o/u 46.5)
  • Rams 24 Seahawks 20

Matthew Stafford is expected to start for the Rams on Sunday. This is bad news for the Seahawks, as the Rams have had Seattle's number, including a win in the season opener. The Seahawks are not as good as their 6-3 record; this week will show that.

Sunday Night

  • Den -2.5 (o/u 43.5)
  • Broncos 27 Vikings 24

Don't look now, but the Broncos have won their last three games, including a win over the Chiefs and an upset of the Bills on Monday night. The Vikings are also surging with five-straight wins, as Josh Dobbs has worked magic in his two games since being acquired from Arizona. Sean Payton has to be the reason behind the Broncos' turnaround, as they get back to .500 and into the playoff picture with a win on Sunday night.

Monday Night

  • Phi +3 (o/u 45.5)
  • Eagles 27 Chiefs 24

It is a rematch of Super Bowl LXVII with the Kelce brothers taking centerstage. The Chiefs and Eagles are atop their conferences and favorites to return to the big game. The Eagles have been the better team overall and will get the win by a late field goal. Over under on Taylor Swift references is listed as 15.5.
