Vitor Petrino Walked Out To The Audio Of Bruce Buffer Announcing His Last Win And Then Knocked His Opponent Into Next Week

I'm finally back in the United States after my week long trip to Cancun - where I stole the hearts of every señorita that laid eyes on me in vaca mode....

….and I'm ready to start talkin about knockouts again. Hope your girlfriend/wife wasn't looking at this blog over your shoulder as you scrolled past that pic by the way.

Giphy Images.

Seriously, though - let's talk about this UNREAL check hook knockout from Vitor Petrino against Modestas Bukauskas.

I can't find the video of his entrance, but Petrino walked out to the audio of Bruce Buffer announcing his last win - and as soon as that was done, the beat dropped and the place went nuts. It was way more badass than it had any right to be, and THIS knockout announcement better be what he walks out to next time! What an awesome tradition that'd be for an undefeated (10-0) fighter, updating that with every win. I bet a bunch of fighters are gonna steal that idea REAL QUICK, though - but I digress.

Once Petrino walked out to that, he truly had a 0% chance of losing, and it wasn't a matter of if - it was a matter of when. This beautiful left hand in the second round flattened Bukauskas like a pancake, and is STILL the moment of the card in Sao Paulo.

I'm very worried Jailton Almeida will somehow outdo this against Derrick Lewis in tonight's main event, but I don't wanna talk about that. We'll cross that bridge if we get to it.

Oh, and Eves Brener just put up another huge KO as I went to hit publish on this blog….

This card has gone through some rough issues (including Rodolfo Vieira vs Armen Petrosyan getting cancelled mid-event due to Petrosyan puking backstage), but the fights we've got sure are delivering!

BONUS: I've got a couple takeaways from Mexico….

-Mexican Coke (the soda) is great, as you likely know already, made with real cane sugar - but Mexican Pepsi? NO BUENO!

This coming from someone who actually likes Pepsi better than Coke. I didn't try the other Mexican Coke (drug) but I was offered some by man selling "cigars and sunglasses" on the beach within 10 minutes of getting there. Nice guy.

-This pool at our resort looked like a dick….

-Mexican Gatorade bottles are lowkey busty….

-We have it really good with New York/New Jersey pizza….

Good trip overall tho. Saw lots of iguanas and lizards, which was very sick.
