I Love Elio But What He Just Did At The Breeders Cup Is A Crazy Move
I have to say I love Elio. Maybe the nicest guy in the world. Good vibes every time I see him out at gambling events, big smile on his face, briefcase in hand, and laughing his way through the weekend. Just a perfect glue guy within the massive amount of lunatics at this company. So this pains me, I mean pains me to side against him but what he just did is so wild a move as a veteran gambler it has to be addressed.
For those of you unfamiliar or new to the site, Elio is Dave's best friend. They go to The Breeder's Cup (along with a ton of other horse races) every year and form what they call "The Syndicate". The financial specifics of The Syndicate get a little murky, for 1 I've never actually got to participate and 2 it always seems like no matter how well the group does Dave somehow loses because hen has to fund the entire thing including Elio's money. Anyway they are partners (again a loose term as Dave funds everything) for this tournament of races over 2 days and try to bring home the big prize.

It's been a brutal 2 days so far. First off, they are both out of the tournament on Day 1.
As if that wasn't bad enough, to start Day 2 they can't even get a promo video up without being mistaken for "Sophie" whoever the hell that is.
Luckily Dave seemed to have found a little spark and was on the verge of getting something going …
But by the tone of his voice in this latest video, I feel like the luck ran out and I'm terrified to ask, and rather find out via Twitter updates like the rest of the world.

Which brings us back to Elio. Like I said, I don't want to crush the guy but this is one of the worst moves I've seen in such a long time, and it's crazy it's from such a veteran gambler. Elio getting absolutely waxed on horse picks for 2 straight days while Dave funds the operation is bad enough, but to go into the briefcase and pull out the white shirt because he hit his hockey pick of the day right in front of Dave's face is such an insane move. And remind you Dave has had people do some wild shit after gambling losses.
Elio has to know better, he should have worn the undershirt and gone quietly into the bathroom, or he should have taken the entire briefcase into the bathroom, or not done it at all, but either way to let Dave know he was doing it after being on the hook for 100k of losses is so diabolical a move you almost have to respect it. I equate it to the guy celebrating he won the office pool Super Bowl Box for $500 while a guy in the corner was inches away from a $25,000 bet. Read the room pal. Be better Mr.Ice … but great pick.
