The Denver Nuggets Knocked It Out Of The Park With Their First Ever Championship Ring

There is something truly special about banner/ring night. It's one of those moments you experience and feel in every inch of your body. You laugh, you cry, there's really nothing like it. Watching your team get their rings and raise a banner is something you remember for the rest of your life.

Now imagine doing it for the very first time in the entire existence of the franchise. That takes everything I just said up about 10 billion levels. The Nuggets and their fans had to wait 47 years before they got to ever experience this moment. That's generations of fans who year in and year out prayed that this would maybe be the year it finally happened. 2023 was that year. Not only did the Denver Nuggets win the title, they went 16-4. Winning at an .800 clip in the playoffs is ridiculous, and they can thank one of the best runs we've ever seen in the history of the NBA

So when you're unveiling your first ever banner and awarding your first ever ring, you have to go all in. You have to raise the bar and go absolutely crazy with the ring. Now is not the time to hold back. Safe to say, the Nuggets delivered

That, is a beautiful ring. The Nuggets color scheme works perfectly, it's clean as hell and the pops of color are just right. The banner coming out of the side? Love that detail. In previous years we've seen the cap come off and there be a court in the middle and whatnot, but I can't ever remember a banner coming out of the side. That's the type of thing I'm talking about when I said you need to raise the bar. The way it spins, everything works.

You know it's a big deal when even Jokic gets emotional

So congratulations to the Nuggets and most importantly Nuggets fans. You guys waited a long ass time for a moment like this, make sure you soak it all in. Nothing like being the champ.

The beauty is now we start again. Time will tell if we're back in Denver this time next year doing this all again.
