Ed Kelce Says You Can Tell How Smart Taylor Swift Is “Right Away”

Ed Kelce talks about Taylor being "very genuine" and "a very, very sweet, very charming, down-to-earth young woman." (via @people) "I'll tell you something very special that I noticed about Taylor the first time I met her - We're sitting in the suite, she gets up and in the front room, she gets up to go get a drink or something and she starts picking up empty bottles, cans, plates that are scattered around. Because in the suites everybody gets stuff and you empty it down wherever you can. And I'm just thinking, I don't think she got the diva memo. She didn't get the spoiled musician. She doesn't know how to pull that off. And that really to me said a whole lot. She's very smart. I mean, very. That comes through right away."

Travis and Jason's father Ed spent some time with Taylor in the booth at a game a few weeks ago. It looked like they hit it off, like Taylor was being the perfect "girlfriend who is putting up with their boyfriend's dad's boring stories," and all was well. I'm LOVING that weeks later, Ed made sure to compliment not only her humility and desire to be helpful, but her INTELLIGENCE TOO. 

Do you know how long it's taken people to just casually call this woman smart??? Do you know how many "but-"s and "i guess-"es usually come with that statement?? Finally. RESPECT FOR OUR QUEEN. I don't care who it comes from, but it means all the more that her boyfriend's dad recognizes this. Nothing is better than looking good to the in-laws. I'm just happy to live in a time where someone like Taylor can be complimented 10 times over without mentioning her looks, and without acting like she's no big deal. She's THE BIGGEST deal. If you still have a hard time accepting that, you're on your own.
