Adolis Garcia Just Put Together One Of The Greatest Performances EVER In A Game 7

Going on the road, everybody booing you, and you put your nuts on the table. 4-5, 2 HR, 5 RBI. That'll do. Adolis García might get a statue at Globe Life Field one day.

The separation between the Rangers and the Astros this season was about as minuscule as it gets. They finished with the same record in the regular season and when it came down to Game Seven, the Rangers delivered. Their bats were red fucking hot!

What a great series this was. The drama came in Game Five when Altuve hit a three-run home run. I was pretty darn sure that that was going to be on the backbreaker. For a team that hadn’t made the postseason since 2016, it was the Rangers that came alive when it mattered most and looked like the more experienced team; a huge reason for that was Adolis García's legendary Game Seven performance.

As far as championship series wins are concerned, this has to be one of those satisfying a recent memory. Making the World Series is always fun, but you do it against your arch-rival on the road, it has to tasete so good. This is a legitimate baseball rivalry, made all the more impressive because these two teams likely aren't going anywhere. Fuck it, let's run it back with these two in the ALCS next year.

This is the third time in franchise history the Rangers have made it to the fall classic. All three have come since 2010. They were one strike away in back-to-back innings in 2011 and couldn't get it done. It's still to be determined which team they will be playing, but I believe they'll have home-field advantage, regardless. It feels like they've been playing in October for months now. This core will be in tact for a while, but it feels like they might not have a better shot than this.
