The MLB Playoffs Are SO BACK!

See! This is what I've been waiting for. I'm really tired of people who complain when I complain about bad baseball. You can love something and still shit-talk it. I love baseball more than anybody, but you're objectively mistaken if you felt like these playoffs, so far, were good. These games have been non-competitive. We saw very few late-inning rallies. Not a whole lot was memorable. That was turned on its head yesterday.

You could argue that game three between the Phillies and Diamondbacks kind of kicked this thing off, but had the Phillies won yesterday, the series would've essentially been over and game three would've been meaningless. Yesterday was the nuts on the table day we've been waiting for. We had two late-inning rallies, one by a road team, one by a home team, and some horrible work by the bullpen.

This has now been kicked into high gear. We're going to get some dramatic endings in the championship series, and I bet we're going to get a really good World Series as well. I can feel it down in my plums. The cobwebs just needed to be shaken off a little bit. As I said earlier, I don't blame the format. It was an anomaly, but that anomaly's time is up.

I've been so frustrated by these playoffs because we need them to be good. Baseball has been awesome this year, but the regular season is a tough sell for people. A lot of people watch the Super Bowl, but fewer people watch week 14 between the Jaguars and Colts. Baseball is the same way. You make your bones in October. After the last few days, those bones are finally getting made.
