Western Kentucky Players Will Wear SEVEN Different Customized Helmets Against Liberty Based On Their Position

Alright, let's not over exaggerate here. These are nowhere close to the "coolest helmets in college football". Do I like them? Yes, if I were a non-Power 5 university, I would be excited that my school has done something to draw attention to the football program. Schools like Western Kentucky need to do that to be relevant. But do you notice who doesn't change their helmet? Ohio State, Alabama, Notre Dame, Penn State, and Georgia. Those are the coolest helmets in football because they have withheld the test of time.

Additionally, not sure that anything that uses this mascot can be considered cool:

Would rather see this type of stunt be done by Michigan State's Sparty or the Wake Forest's Demon Deacon, because I'm not sure putting these googly eyes of whatever the fuck creature this is will intimidate anyone on the other side of the ball.

I mean I'm not sure what makes this mascot a Hilltopper, but that right there is a fat Elmo. And when I say fat, I'm not talking about his belly. I'm talking about THAT ASS.

What an absolute dumper on that running back.

Side note: at what point do helmets not have to match? I would have assumed this were illegal, but I guess not. Can they wear different colors? Can a play in a runningback helmet play defense, or does your helmet establish your position like numbers used to? And does this take away Western Kentucky's ability to send their QB out wide and run trick plays? So many questions. But one question that should not be asked is "are these the coolest helmets in college football?"

That answer is easy:
